GALLERY EXHIBITIONS PROGRAMME 2025
The gallery invited artists to apply for an exhibition to showcase their work in 2025.
158 artists applied and a short list of 16 were interviewed.
The eight you will see in 2025 are those who I hope will inspire, engage and perhaps entertain through their diverse works. The artists are available to you on the opening Sunday of their exhibitions so that you can meet them and talk to them about their work.
Claire White – Soul Conversations
Sunday 23rd February – Saturday 15th March 2025
Spiritual and emotional explorations in textiles.
Claire is a disabled, queer, non-binary, neurospicy, textile artist. They make work that explores social and personal issues often using textiles and recycled materials.
Pamela Ormston – Sand and Salt
Sunday 16th March to Saturday 5th April 2025
Paintings entirely inspired by life at the seaside and the busyness that is drawn to it; both in the colour and forms that present themselves as well as imagery that evokes memories and dreams of summer migration to the seaside. I like to find elements that are a bit flamboyant, a bit marvellous and a bit curious… and then exaggerate them just a little.
Tracy Bidwell – Shadow Light
Sunday 27th April – Sunday 17th May 2025
There is light, pattern and texture even in the darkest places, and in this exhibition I seek to reveal these hopeful details in everyday objects and places.
